Drive An Extreme Mercedes X-Class In Ubisoft’s ‘The Crew 2’

Mercedes‘ X-Class pickup truck will be featured in The Crew 2 video game that’s coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 29. The X-Class will play the lead in a custom ‘Rally Raid’ mission, but can also be selected in Free Roaming mode.

There’s also a closed Beta version available from May 31 to June 4, with Mercedes making 5,000 access codes available exclusively through its social media channels in Facebook and Twitter, effective immediately.

In order to play the game ahead of its official release, visit this link, enter the code (if you claimed it), select your specific hardware platform and download the closed Beta version. Provided, of course, that you already have an Ubisoft account.

Looking at the in-game X-Class, we can’t help but notice a couple of extreme tuning touches that make it stand out from its real-world counterpart. It features larger tires, a winch and a loading area cover, and can be further customized by applying different colors and wheel designs.

Headlights and exterior mirrors aside, the game’s X-Class is nearly identical to the original X-Class concept, specifically the Powerful Adventurer version. That was the one with the increased ground clearance, off-road wheels and wider arches, by the way.

The Crew 2 players will also get the chance to race multiple other Mercedes-Benz models, such as the iconic 300 SLR, the C63 AMG Black Series, the AMG GT and (if you must…) the GLC Coupe.
