As part of the Oxford Corridor works, Network Rail has already renewed more than 2km of track between Oxford station and Hinksey Lakes, and upgraded signals, points and track between Didcot and Oxford.
The upcoming work, taking place from 29 June to 23 July, will include track renewals and piling for the erection of signal gantries, as well as the installation of new switches and crossings at Wolvercote. Work will also be taking place on the new sidings north of Oxford station. It is the final phase of this particular programme of works.

White Hart Community Pub 126 Godstow Road, Oxford, OX2 8PQ Friday 1 June 3pm – 7pm
West Oxford Community Centre Botley Road, Oxford, OX2 0BT Wednesday 6 June 3.30pm – 7.30pm.
Representatives from Network Rail’s project team will be on hand to provide information and answer any questions from local residents ahead of this work.
Rob Mashford, senior programme manager for Network Rail, said: “This work is really important in order for us to enable improved capacity, reliability and line speeds through the city.
“Residents are welcome to come along and speak to our project team to learn more about the work we are undertaking in Oxford”.
