A delegation of the Veera Surendra Sai (VSS) Nagar Unnayan Parishad led by its general secretary Dillip Dashsharma on Sunday met Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan  and submitted a memorandum to him demanding early functioning of the subway from VSS Nagar to Saheed Nagar.

The members alleged that even after four years of the opening of the flyover from Vani Vihar to Acharya Vihar, the subway has not been constructed.

They pointed out that residents of VSS Nagar and about 10 villages and mouzas are facing problems in going to Bhubaneswar city.

In reply, Pradhan assured that he would talk to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) chief Dharmanand Sadangi about the issue and find a way for it.

The delegation also comprised Maheswar Biswal, Suresh Chandra Kar, Artatrana Dalai, Ketra Mohan Nayak, Pratap Kumar Nanda, Prakash Kumar Das, Nalini Mohanty and Purnachandra Padhi.
