Paris - Montpellier's South African hooker Bismarck du Plessis is set to play in Saturday's Top 14 final against Castres after escaping a sanction from league officials following a citation.
Du Plessis, a world champion with the Springboks in 2007, was cited for putting his hand in the face of Lyon lock Felix Lambey during Montpellier's 40-14 semi-final victory on Friday.
However National Rugby League (LNR) officials ruled the gesture did not merit a sanction, adding that 34-year-old Du Plessis "will not be summoned by the disciplinary commission".
The news will be a huge boost to Montpellier, and Du Plessis, who is one of the southern side's key forwards.
