An intruder comes onto the field towards the end, but that's it. All over here and Real Madrid have won their third cosnecutive Champions League title!

May 27, 2018 2:06 am (IST)

We are into 3 minutes of added time here..

May 27, 2018 2:00 am (IST)

GOAL! Another howler from Karius here, this should really be the end of his career in Liverpool you have to say. Bale gets a brace, he had hit it brilliantly from outside of the box with his left-foot. The ball dip suddenly but its hit straight at Karius, he fumbles badly and the ball ends up in the back off the net here. 3-1 to Real Madrid here.

May 27, 2018 1:55 am (IST)

We are entering the final 11 minutes of time here, Klopp is in the dugout, discussing tactics here. Lallana has been nothing less than a passenger ever since coming on here

May 27, 2018 1:49 am (IST)

Robertson saves the day here for Liverpool, Ronaldo was through and 1 on 1 on goal but Robertson with a last ditch tackle which ultimately leads to a corner

May 27, 2018 1:48 am (IST)

Off the post now for Liverpool, Mane again with a superb shot outside the box and it hits the base off the post.

May 27, 2018 1:39 am (IST)

GOAL! Stunner from Bale, unbelievable goal this, Bale has scripted his name into the history of Champions League as he scores a bicycle kick from just inside the box to beat Karius. Zidane can't believe it either and its 2-1 to Real Madrid!

May 27, 2018 1:36 am (IST)

Gareth Bale is on now for Real Madrid, off comes Isco, Zidane looking to inject some more pace into the game as Liverpool tire out after high pressing.

May 27, 2018 1:31 am (IST)

GOAL! Wow, this game has blown off here. Sadio Mane with almost an immediate equaliser there and Klopp explodes. Its a corner and Van Dijk gets the first touch to it, Mane on the backpost has a tap in and he scores. We are all level here! It's 1-1.

May 27, 2018 1:27 am (IST)

GOAL! Karius has gifted a goal to Real Madrid here, he collects the ball easily and then looks to release it but Benzema gets his foot in there at the right time, the ball deflects off Benzema's leg and goes into the back of the net. Disastrous stuff this from Karius. Liverpool have a mountain to climb now

May 27, 2018 1:24 am (IST)

Off the crossbar! Liverpool have a lucky escape, Isco gets a lucky rebound and he has to hit it quickly as Karius charges down, but much to his bad luck, he rattles the crossbar. Liverpool have a lucky escape here!

May 27, 2018 1:21 am (IST)

Liverpool get us off in the second half-here..Let's see which team gets us the opening goal today!

May 27, 2018 1:05 am (IST)

So, that's the end of the first-half here. It ends 0-0 and you have to say no great chances for either team. Benzema's goal was ruled offside, but the big talking point there will be the injuries. Mo Salah coming off in tears and then Carvajal also being subsituted, he was equally distraught as well. All to play for in the second half now!

May 27, 2018 12:59 am (IST)

Saved by the offside flag there, stunning header from Ronaldo and an equally stunning save from Karius, but Benzema taps the ball in only to see the 4th official's flag raised there.

May 27, 2018 12:56 am (IST)

Both teams seem to be playing for half-time here, Salah's injury blow has certainly taken the fizz out of Liverpool's attack. Real Madrid certainly the more dominant team since Salah's departure.

May 27, 2018 12:52 am (IST)

Real Madrid are growing in confidence here with every minute that passes by, Carvajal is in tears here. He is distraught as he seems to have done some damage to his achilles. He also missed the 2016 Euros due to an injury, will he also miss the World Cup here?

May 27, 2018 12:46 am (IST)

Salah is in tears here and it looks like his Champions League final is over, huge blow this. He is the first Egyptian to play in the Champions League, but has to be off within 30 minutes! He is going to be replaced here by Adam Lallana.

May 27, 2018 12:42 am (IST)

Injury worry here for Liverpool and Egypt! Mo Salah seems to have taken a really awkward fall here, and on his shoulder. Grimacing in pain as the physios come out, should be okay though as he is up and running at the moment

May 27, 2018 12:39 am (IST)

Excellent stop this by Keylor Navas, Firmino with the first effort, but his shot on the turn is blocked by Ramos. Rebound falls to Alexandre Arnold, whose shot across the goal is saved by Navas.

May 27, 2018 12:35 am (IST)

20 minutes gone here and its still 0-0. the fans getting into the game as you hear the chants of you will never walk alone!

May 27, 2018 12:30 am (IST)

Liverpool certainly having the upper hand in the first 15 minutes here, but still no goal. Madrid would have been expecting this, they are the experienced team and will certainly know that the game will be won only after 90 minutes!

May 27, 2018 12:26 am (IST)

Marcelo going ahead in typical style but his shot is wayward and way off the mark, Madrid's first attempt at goal after 10 minutes!

May 27, 2018 12:23 am (IST)

Liverpool certainly gaining in confidence here, early free kick for them in danger area but Modric comes to Madrid's rescue. Alexandre-arnold certainly attacking well down the right flank..Liverpool trying to exploit spaces as Madrid full-backs help their side in attack,

May 27, 2018 12:18 am (IST)

Both teams starting on the front foot here, Madrid having the ball and an early chance is thwarted as Isco is caught off-side. Karius though had it covered and had punched the ball away!

May 27, 2018 12:09 am (IST)

The opening ceremony is underway with Dua Lipa performing live along with Sean Paul..we are just minutes away from live action now!

May 26, 2018 11:39 pm (IST)

As a result, the Real starting line-up is the same as that which took to the field in last year's final, when the Spanish giants beat Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the attack as Real look to win the Champions League for the third season running, something no team has achieved since Bayern Munich in 1976.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp goes, as expected, with the same team that started the second leg of their semi-final against Roma.

Mohamed Salah, who has 44 goals in all competitions this season, has inspired the Anfield club on their run to a first Champions League final since 2007, when they lost to AC Milan in Athens.

May 26, 2018 11:32 pm (IST)

Real Madrid (4-3-1-2)

Keylor Navas; Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos (capt), Raphael Varane, Marcelo; Casemiro, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos; Isco; Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo

Coach: Zinedine Zidane (FRA)

Liverpool (4-3-3)

Loris Karius; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson (capt), James Milner; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane

Coach: Jurgen Klopp (GER)

May 26, 2018 11:27 pm (IST)

Liverpool though is in the midst of an absolute adventure courtesy their 44 goal hero Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has netted 11 in a record breaking tally of 46 for the Kop in Europe. Standing alongside with him is the duo of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane and the troika is undoubtedly a scary prospect for any defensive unit.

Keeping them quiet will be quite a task, and as Klopp has rightly picked on, Madrid’s defensive frailties and penchant for playing the opponents half would lay the perfect foundation for them to do their thing – find the back of the net with aplomb. There is nothing that suggests Sergio Ramos will have a comfortable time or Marcelo can saunter about at will and entertain with his bag of tricks.

May 26, 2018 11:22 pm (IST)

The UEFA Champions League final represents a clash of styles as both Liverpool and Real Madrid are on the cusp of history that would eventually help shape or define their respective eras.

The Red Stadium of Trotsky, as the Olympic Stadium was once called will be the scene for what is undoubtedly going to a fascinating battle of tactics and nerves. Madrid, who this year felt more at home in Europe will be in for a rude shock as if the Red Stadium lives up to its name.

Once Real and Zidane realised the importance of the competition in terms of what it meant to their season, the emphasis shifted and they engineered wins by concentrating on where to land the killer blow one round at a time. Madrid, 12-time winners of the competition, notwithstanding their struggles they made hay while the sun shone.

May 26, 2018 11:08 pm (IST)

Hello everyone and welcome to our live blog for the big game today between Liverpool and Real Madrid! On the red side on May 26th in Kyiv, Ukraine, will be the intense synchronized raging Liverpool led by the German Jurgen Klopp. The five-time European champions have mastered the art of taking to the contest with such hostility that it effectively disrupts and dismantles oppositions with ease.  On the other end of the spectrum, it is all about painting the canvas white – to standout irrespective of the circumstances. Real Madrid under the stewardship of Zinedine Zidane has either left teams in awe with their work of art or with the sheer ability escape tight situations.
