Veronica Elizabeth Wagner, resident of the Villages, Florida, formerly of Harmony Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Elan Memory Care. She was 83 years old. Veronica was born Veronica Elizabeth Sliwiak on February 3, 1935, to Thomas and Rose Sliwiak. She was raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Ambridge High School. She worked alongside her husband Ed, building a successful auto salvage business. In addition to raising six children, Veronica golfed, played cards, water skied, and traveled extensively. She was a member of Western Pennsylvania Women's Golf Association. Veronica was kind and accepting of everyone she met. Veronica will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 and 3/4 years, Edward Sr.; her children, Edward Jr. (Cindi), Karen Little (George), James Wagner (Sonna), Monica Taylor (Glenn), Ramona Sangermano (Jim), and Gregory Wagner (Renee); 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Louis Sliwiak (Elia), and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rose Sliwiak; her brother, Thomas Sliwiak; her sister, Evelyn Sliwiak, and her best friend Rose Montagna. Friends will be received on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Good Samaritan Parish, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Catholic Cemetery.
