Nani speaks about his failure, and his fans love his honesty.

At a time when actors and filmmakers like to blow their own trumpets and go to any length to publicise their films by endorsing fake box-office numbers, Nani has stunned one and all with his candid confession about the failure of his last release, Krishnarjuna Yuddham, which features him in dual roles. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film released amid high expectations on April 12 and it featured Nani as a playboy rockstar from Prague as well as a happy-go-lucky guy from a small village in Chitoor. The film was unanimously panned by critics and audiences alike, ending Nani’s success streak after blockbusters such as Nenu Local, Ninnu Kori and MCA.

On Friday, when Over-The-Top content service provider Yupp TV advertised the premiere of super hit film Krishnarjuna Yuddham, Nani was quick to clarify with a candid reply. In Telugu, he wrote that the film was no super hit. He went on to say that it didn’t even run well. Nevertheless, he said it’s a film they made with all heart and requested his fans to watch the film. His tweet won over fans who couldn’t stop raving about his honest attitude. His tweet had over 800 replies and over 2000 people had retweeted it. Quoting Nani’s tweet, writer-filmmaker BVS Ravi wrote: “This cruel, ruthless honest will make you live happily till you wish.(sic)”

On the career front, Nani is currently shooting for aTelugu multi-starrer with Akkineni Nagarjuna. He was recently signed to host the second season of Telugu Bigg Boss, replacing Jr NTR who hosted the first season.
