WATCH: SHOCK footage shows Iraqi Air Force OBLITERATE ISIS stronghold in single airstrike

THE IRAQI Air Force has released footage of an ISIS building in Syria being utterly obliterated with one single airstrike on Thursday.

The video was released by the Iraqi Security Media Centre on Friday and shows the Iraqi Air Force carrying out an airstrike on positions.

The powerful airstrike took place in Syria’s Hajin area on Thursday.

In the footage, a building can be seen surrounded by palm trees and a wall.

A single airstrike is then seen instantly crumbling the walls of the ISIS building.

’s Joint Operations Command said on Friday that Iraqi F-16 fighter jets carried out airstrikes against ISIS headquarters and a weapons depot in the Hajin area.

Hajin is in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria, 31miles (50km) from the Syria-Iraq border.

The airstrike on Thursday marked the Iraqi airforces third cross-border intervention in Syria this month.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said last month he would "take all necessary measures" against militants based in Syria.

The Iraqi air force has carried out several air strikes since last year against Islamic State positions in Syrian territory.

ISIS seized huge parts of Iraq in 2014, before being pushed back by the Iraq army.

In December 2017, Iraq’s Government announced that its war against ISIS was over, with the group only controlling a few pockets of land in Syria.
