After Saturday temperatures reached 100 degrees in Cedar Rapids, the National Weather Service predicts yet another unseasonably hot day on Memorial Day.
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures could nearly reach 95 degrees.
What about a breeze? Not much luck. The NWS also predicts a “calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning.”
Good thing the Cedar Rapids splash pads at Cedar Valley Park, Daniels Park, Hidder Park, Jacolyn Park, Noelridge Park, Redmond Park, Time Check Park and Twin Pines Park have opened early.
Tonight the heat will subside as isolated thunderstorms will affect parts of Iowa including Linn and Johnson counties.
