Krish Jagarlamudi will take over NTR biopic, replaces Teja as director.

On the eve of NTR’s birth anniversary, makers of the legendary actor-politician’s biopic made an important announcement. It has come to light that Krish Jagarlamudi, the director who is currently working on Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika will be directing the film. The announcement was made through a video, voiced by Balakrishna himself as he hoped to get his father’s blessing for the project.

The film was initially supposed to be directed by Teja. In fact, the pooja ceremony for the film was held in his presence and talks about Vidya Balan playing an important role also surfaced. It was also revealed that Rana Daggubati is in talks to play the role of N Chandra Babu Naidu in the film.

As this happens to be Balayya’s pet project, the film is expected to be made on a huge budget. Incidentally, Ram Gopal Varma, who is looking forward to the release of Nagarjuna starrer Officer is also working on the biopic of NTR, which will be told from the perspective of his second wife Lakshmi Parvathi.

The Telugu film industry in itself will be churning out a lot of biopics including that of late chief minister of Andhra YS Rajasekar Reddy, the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and wrestler Kodi Ramamurthy.
