•             2 x catches

•             1 x run-out

22:57(IST)

Match Ends:  That's it folks, Sunrisers Hyderabad have beaten Kolkata Knight Riders by 13 runs. SRH have entered the final of the competition and they will now play Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Rashid Khan was the star of the day for SRH with both bat and ball.

22:53(IST)

OUT:  Next ball was an identical dismissal as the previous one and this time Gill has to head back into the hut after scoring an excellent 30. KKR now need 15 off 3 with just one wicket left. One would say that SRH are home and dry now but it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

22:51(IST)

OUT: The crowd at the Eden must have thought the ball was going for six when Mavi hit the ball ever so sweet. But the ball went straight down the throat of Rashid Khan who was present at deep mid wicket. KKR now need 15 off 4, SRH need 2 wickets or not let the batsmen score these runs.

22:49(IST)

Four: Shivam Mavi hits the ball towards the third man for a boundary on the first ball of the last over. KKR now need 15 off 5 deliveries to win the match. Excellent start to the over for KKR.

22:48(IST)

SIX: Shubman Gill keeps Kolkata in the game by hitting a huge six on the last ball of the Kaul over over long off. With that, KKR now need 19 runs from the last over to win the match. Carlos Brathwaite will bowl the last over of the innings now. What a match this has been and still anyone's match this.

22:42(IST)

OUT: Siddarth Kaul comes into the attack to bowl the penultimate over of the innings and on the first ball itself, he sends the ball offstump of Chawla spiraling out. KKR lose their seventh wicket now as Shivam Mavi comes out to bat now.

22:40(IST)

Four: Shubhman Gill slams a boundary down the ground to ruin a good over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In total, KKR batsmen score 9 runs from it and now, they need 30 from last two overs to win the match. They have four wickets left to do so.

22:35(IST)

An excellent over under pressure comes to an end from Siddarth Kaul. The pace gives away just 4 singles off 6 deliveries to create pressure on the batsmen. KKR now need 39 runs from 18 deliveries and it is going to be a scintillating last few overs.

22:28(IST)

SIX: Piyush Chawla hits a huge six on the last ball of the Khaleel over to make matter even more interesting. 14 runs came from that over as KKR now need 43 off 24 deliveries.

22:26(IST)

Four: The pressure was building and Shubman Gill hits a boundary to release that pressure. Gill punches a short delivery from Khaleel through the covers and it beats Williamson easily and goes for a boundary. The match is still not over - the young man says!

22:20(IST)

OUT: The pressure tactic from Kane Williamson has worked as Andre Russell loses his cool and is dismissed. Russell tried to cut a googly from Rashid Khan and is caught by Dhawan at first slip. Rashid picks his third of the day as KKR lose six.

22:16(IST)

Excellent over from Shakib, just what the doctor ordered as far as creating pressure is concerned. He gave away just 5 runs from the over, and there was no pressure releasing boundary as well. Rashid comes to bowl his last over now.

22:09(IST)

OUT: Kolkata batsmen have simply imploded here as they are lost three wickets in quick succession now. This time, Lynn went for the sweep shot but missed it and he was judged LBW by the on field umpire. KKR have lost their fifth wicket now.

22:07(IST)

OUT: That is the wicket that SRH wanted the most as Shakib gets rid of Karthik for 8. The right hander tried to cut the ball but it was too close to the body and the ball took an inside edge and crashed into the stumps. Kolkata have lost their fourth wicket now!

22:03(IST)

Four and Four: Chris Lynn and Dinesh Karthik are now showing Robin Uthappa how to hit Rashid for a boundary. Both hit one boundary each in the other as Kolkata pick up 11 runs from the over, this after Uthappa fell on the first ball. KKR now need 71 off 54.

21:59(IST)

OUT: Robin Uthappa tries to play an outrageous shot and pays for it with his wicket. Uthappa went for the reverse sweep but missed the ball and it crashed into his leg stump. Rashid picks his first of the night as Uthappa departs for 2.

21:57(IST)

Four: An excellent over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar is ruing by a boundary on the last ball. The ball took a thick edge off the bat off Lynn and it seemed that it will be caught in the off side. However, the ball goes in between two fielder for a boundary towards third man. 5 runs came from the over as Lynn moves into the 40s.

21:53(IST)

Stat Attack: Nitish Rana’s miserable run continues: He’s managed just one 30+ score in his last 10 Indian Premier League innings (including tonight). Today was a bit unfortunate but he hasn't been in form right through the course of the tournament.

21:51(IST)

OUT: Nitish Rana has to go back into the hut as he is run-out for 22. In trying to take a double, Rana slip and Rashid with a brilliant pick up and throw from mid wicket helps in affecting the run-out. Kolkata are two down now.

21:44(IST)

Four and Four: Short and wide from Brathwaite and Lynn launches at the ball and it takes a huge edge off the bat and goes for a boundary over short third man. With that Lynn moves into his 30s and he is looking good. And then, he cuts the ball hard over the point fielder for the second four of the over. After 8 overs, KKR's score reads 81/1

21:42(IST)

Excellent first over Rashid Khan as he gives away just three runs from it. There were couple of huge LBW shouts as well but both times the batsmen survived because of minor issues. Rashid's remaining three overs might be the key here.

21:38(IST)

DRS: Rashid Khan comes into attack and Chris Lynn straight away goes for the sweep shot but misses the ball and it hits his pads. The players make a huge appeal but umpire says not out. DRS shows that the ball had hit the glouves before hitting the pads and the decision stays. SRH lose their DRS.

21:32(IST)

Six overs have been bowled and it can be said that Kolkata are on top in the chase with Lynn and Rana scoring at a brisk pace. 67 runs have been scored and only one wicket have fallen thus far - Narine for 26.

21:30(IST)

SIX: Chris Lynn is on fire as well as he hits a flat six over the head of bowler Kaul and gets a six towards long off. Second six for Lynn as Kolkata are scoring runs at a brisk pace and are eating away runs from the target.

21:27(IST)

SIX and SIX: Nitish Rana is now taking apart Khaleel Ahmed as he slams two huge sixes off his bowling. Firts he cut the ball over third man and then flicked the ball over square leg. With that, KKR also cross the 50-run mark.

21:21(IST)

OUT: Sunil Narine's blazing innings finally comes to an end as he is dismissed by Siddarth Kaul for 26. Carlos Brathwaite takes a good catch at long-on to get rid of the southpaw. KKR lose their first wicket as Rana comes onto the crease now.

21:15(IST)

Four SIX Four Four: Sunil Narine is now taking apart Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he deals in boundaries in the third over of the innings. First, he dispathces the ball towards covers, then hits the ball over long off for a six, then he flicked the ball for a boundary and then hit the ball over Bhuvi for a four. Narine  and Lynn are taking apart the KKR bowlers and this chase could be over early if these two continue to bat.

21:12(IST)

SIX: Khaleel Ahmed has been taken apart in his first over in the IPL. He bowls a bit full and Lynn hits the ball over the cover region for the first six of the innings. 13 runs came from that over as KKR are off to a flying start in the chase.

21:09(IST)

Four: Khaleel Ahmed bowls his first delivery in the IPL and he is hit for a boundary straight away by Narine. The left hander bowled onto the pads of Narine and the southpaw flicks the ball for a boundary. The second boundary of the innings is hit by Narine in the second over.

IPL 2018, SRH vs KKR, Qualifier 2, Highlights: Hyderabad Seal Final Berth After Win Against Kolkata

(BCCI)

PREVIEW:

The live telecast of the IPL 2018 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad will start at 7 PM on May 25th (Friday). The match can be seen live on the Star Sports network and live streaming will be available on hotstar.com. You can also follow the match live blog for ball-by-ball updates, full score and IPL match highlight on cricketnext.com. While KKR ticked all the boxes during the business end of the tournament with four wins on the trot, table-toppers Sunrisers have slipped after finishing on top of the league table. Call it complacency or the lack of performance from their middle-order, Sunrisers have lost four straight games, something that will be a cause of concern for Kane Williamson's brigade. Arguably the best bowling attack in the tournament with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul and Sandeep Sharma delivering consistently along with the immensely talented Rashid Khan, Sunrisers will like to extract whatever juice is available from the Eden Gardens track. But with the momentum strongly in favour of Dinesh Karthik and Co who will also heavily bank on home advantage, it will need a special effort from the Kane Williamson-led side to stop the Kolkata juggernaut and return to winning ways. First to qualify for the play-offs eliminating Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers' slide began in Pune, when their famed bowling attack failed to defend 180 against Chennai and then went on to lose to RCB, KKR and CSK in subsequent games.

Hyderabad's problem has been their batting which is heavily reliant on skipper Kane Williamson, the current 'Orange Cap' holder with 685 runs at 57.05 average. Their latest defeat will hurt them the most as they had their match in pocket with Chennai struggling at 113/8 inside 18 overs chasing 140 but Williamson's strategy to keep an over from Carlos Brathwaite at the death backfired. The West Indian leaked 20 runs in the 18th over as Hyderabad will have the big selection headache of whom to fill in as the fifth and sixth bowler. Bhuvneshwar (9 wickets) will also need to get his act together complement the wily Afghan wrist spinner Rashid Khan (18 wickets) as Williamson also have big holes to plug in the batting department. Siddarth Kaul (19 wickets) has been their best bowler of the season with consistent efforts at the start as well as death. Out for a 'golden duck' in the last match, Shikhar Dhawan (437 runs) will have to rise to the occasion but it is the middle order that has created problems for Sunrisers. Manish Pandey (284) and Yusuf Pathan (212) have been big flops and their inability to provide the necessary muscle in the middle overs is a concern.

There will be no such headache for Kolkata skipper Dinesh Karthik who will look to go unchanged unless there's any niggle in the lineup. Surprise choice as Kolkata skipper after the departure of their most successful captain Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik is in the middle of the form of his life averaging 54.44 from 15 matches. Two wins shy of winning the title, Karthik will look to go full throttle in a standout season for the softspoken Tamil Nadu cricketer. Their biggest strength has been the team's ability to stand up and perform in case someone fails. In the last match, opener Sunil Narine failed to give the team a fiery start but Andre Russell's 25-ball 49 not out ensured that they end on a flourish to eliminate Rajasthan Royals. Narine was ineffective as a bowler too but the likes of Kuldeep Yadav (16 wickets) and Piyush Chawla (13 wickets) held on to their tasks while Russell and young Prasidh Krishna led the pace attack. Both teams won each in the round-robin league. Since their defeat at home, Kolkata have come a long way and won in Hyderabad. The winners will face CSK in the IPL-11 summit clash in Mumbai on May 27.
