Manchester United legend Neville played alongside Ronaldo when the Portuguese star was at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo is expected to head Real Madrid’s attack in the Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday night.
The 33-year-old has guided Real to back-to-back Champions League honours in the past two seasons.
And Neville has hinted he wants to see his old team-mate with the trophy again.
“Come on @Cristiano sleep well..” Neville tweeted, alongside an image with the message “UNITED? we pray”.
Oddly, the imagine Neville used appeared to be one from the United? We Pray podcast, which addresses “racial divisions in churches”.
Speaking ahead of the final, Ronaldo insisted his Real Madrid legacy did not rest on the result in Kiev.
“Of course, but my legacy is there, even if nothing changes, I will be there,” said Ronaldo.

“It’s a special competition, in terms of me as an individual, I love to play in the Champions League.
“It will be a dream if we, and I personally, win my fifth Champions League. It will be unbelievable.
"I just want to be focused on Saturday and try to win this amazing trophy.”
