GUWAHATI: A 40-year-old night
guard, Altab Uddin, who has been posted at
Jalalpur Primary Health Centre in Cachar since 2005, has moved the
Gauhati high court alleging he has not received benefits announced by the government.
The petitioner was initially paid Rs 500 per month, which was enhanced to Rs 2,500 later, according to his writ. "The authority shall take a decision on the said issue within a period of two months," the court ordered.
