Yesterday, Rashid Khan was awarded man of the match award for his wonderful batting and bowling performance against the second qualifier match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
He scored 34 runs off just 10 balls and also took three important wickets of Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa and Andre Russell while bowling. He also dismissed Nitish Rana with a run out. During the presentation ceremony, he dedicated his performance to the victims of horrific bomb blast in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, which occurred earlier this week.
Due to this heart-warming gesture, many Indian fans were filled with pride for the cricketer, and started requesting Indian citizenship for Rashid Khan. The fans took to social media platform Twitter and requested External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to give citizenship to Rashid. Have a look at some of the tweets.
Ma’am @SushmaSwaraj , Is there a way we can keep Rashid Khan in India forever? Please help.

In response, Sushma Swaraj tweeted that she has seen all the tweets and the matters of citizenship are dealt by Ministry of home affairs. She later deleted her tweet. Have a look at the screen shot of the tweet.
In response, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani also took to Twitter to inform that Rashid Khan is a hero of Afghanistan that they wonβt give him to anyone. Calling him an asset to the cricketing world, Ghani tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet, claiming that they will not give him away. Have a look on the tweet.
