The flight from Sydney, believed to be a Boeing 777 similar to the one pictured, identified a problem with its wheel, and notified emergency services as a precaution

Emergency services were called to a full emergency response at Auckland Airport as a plane was coming in to land with a possible flat tyre. 

Fire crews and police were alerted to the incident around 4.30pm on Saturday, a Fire and Emergency spokesman said. 

The Air New Zealand flight 104 from Sydney identified a problem with its wheel, and notified emergency services as a precaution ahead of landing, a spokeswoman for Auckland Airport said. 

The plane landed safely at 4.41pm.
