Since becoming president, Donald Trump has inexplicably maintained a consistent "support base" of around 40 percent of the voting population.

He's done this in the face of numerous scandals, including but far from limited to the Trump University fraud lawsuit, thousands of verifiable lies and misleading statements, his inability to attract and retain high level staff, his tacit support of racist violence, his denigration of a war hero, his offensive "condolence" call to a Gold Star widow, accusations of sexual assault by numerous women, alleged sexual liaisons with a Playboy model and a porn star and the most politically significant act — his admitted attempt to obstruct justice as told to Lester Holt.

But what stands out above all of the things that he's perpetrated since being elected is the one thing that occurred prior to the election and to which he has publicly admitted: his highly offensive, graphically described preferred method of sexually assaulting women. Although he lost the popular vote he did receive 62,984,828 votes, which included 89 percent of Republican women. Every one of those voters had a mother and most probably had sisters, daughters or other female loved ones. I will never understand how all of these people could have turned a blind eye when one or more of those loved ones might have been a potential victim to this self-confessed sexual predator.

To each of those voters I can only say: Just look what you've done.
