Naxals kill man, wife in Giridih

The Naxals allegedly killed two persons, a man and his wife, accusing them of being police informers, at Ataki-Fatehpur Road within the limits of Madhuwan police station here on Thursday night, Giridih SP SK Jha said today.

Kisun Soren and his wife Suhagani Hembram of Dokwatard village under Madhuwan police station in Giridih, was attacked by the ultras last night, Superintendent of police S.K. Jha told the pioneer.

According to reports a few armed Naxals stormed into village, located 30 kms from Giridih town, and was attacked them with sharp-edged weapons and their bodies were found lying in a pool of blood on Ataki-Fatehpur road today morning, the SP said, adding that both were killed on the spot.

 The Naxals accused them of being police before killing them, the SP said, adding that a search was launched in the area to nab the assailants. Maoist pamphlets recovered from the spot that the slain husband and wife were a police informer, the police said.

While Giridih SP said that a police team had been rushed to the spot and efforts were on track down those who killed them, adding that there was no eye witnesses to the crime.

Sources said that two murdered took place late in the night on Thursday –Friday.
