Police want information about a green, or silver Holden Commodore that was involved in a pursuit through Napier on Friday.
A dark green, or silver, Holden Commodore fleeing from police narrowly missed colliding with a bus shortly after authorities called off a car chase.
Hawke's Bay Police pursued the car on State Highway 2 at Awatoto, near Napier, after it was seen being driven "dangerously" on Friday.
It was about 10pm when the man driving the vehicle failed to stop for police.
In a media statement, police said they abandoned the pursuit "for safety reasons" when the car continued through Napier CBD.

The driver then overtook and cut off a truck at the Marine Parade and Warren St roundabout.
The driver sped through Napier's streets before he went through a red light on Tennyson St. The car narrowly avoided a collision with a bus.
Police want to make contact with the truck driver "who was almost caught up in a crash", their statement said.
cting Sergeant Grant Marshall said roads were still busy with people on Friday night.
"We're lucky this didn't end in tragedy."
He warned reckless driving endangered the lives of those in the vehicle and others.
Police are investigating and have asked that anyone who may have seen the vehicle to make contact with Hawke's Bay police on 06 873 0500.
