Man in critical condition after being shot in Wilmington

A 41-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot several times in Wilmington early Saturday morning, police say. 

Wilmington Police said they went to 23rd and Lamotte streets at about 2:55 a.m. in response to a shots fired complaint. They found the man suffering from gunshot wounds at 23rd and Market. 

New Castle County paramedics treated the man at the scene. Then he was taken to Christiana hospital, where he was in critical condition Saturday morning.
