Forty-eight people died after a bus smashed into a tractor driving with no lights at night and a truck in northern Uganda, a Red Cross spokeswoman said today.
Irene Nakasiita told AFP the victims of the late last night's crash included 16 children.
The accident happened in Kiryandongo, about 220 km north of the capital Kampala.
