Union Minister of State for Ayush Shripad Naik has congratulated the NDA government for providing a new direction to the country’s development. Addressing a press conference in Panaji on the occasion of completion of four years of the NDA government at the centre today, Mr Naik said that the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas idea of governance has ensured all-round and overall development.

Mr Naik said that the biggest achievement of the NDA government is providing corruption-free governance. He highlighted the coverage and benefits of schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana; and added that the government is working to double farmers’ income.

Speaking about development works in Goa, Mr Naik highlighted ongoing projects such as the new Mopa airport, national highways, road widening, Mandovi bridge and development of capital Panaji as a smart city. He informed that Goa’s first All India Institute of Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy Research Centre with medical college would be set up in Pernem taluka. The facility would also house a Ayush hospital.
