Eight people were injured in a multiple-vehicle collision Saturday evening on Highway 416 near Manotick.
The collision took place near Brophy Drive, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
Three people had to be taken to the Ottawa Hospital's trauma centre, where they were listed in serious but stable collision, the paramedic service said.
Five others were sent to the hospital in stable condition, paramedics said.
Ontario Provincial Police initially closed the highway in both directions between Brophy Drive and Roger Stevens Drive.
Police reopened one lane in each direction shortly before 9 p.m.
