PUNE: The
Pune Municipal Corporation (
PMC) and
Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (
PSCDCL) have won three
national level awards for three different projects at the Smart Cities India Awards 2018.
The three awards include Smart LED street lighting systems integrated with the SCADA system under energy award category, PSCDCL under the category of Smart SPV/Municipal Corporation Award and Pune’s water supply project under the water project category. Rajendra Jagtap, chief executive officer, PSCDCL received the awards on behalf of PSCDCL.
He said that the Pune Smart City has already marched towards enhancing liveability of the city. Receiving three awards at national level has certainly been an encouragement for the city and those who worked in the projects.
Deputy mayor Siddharth Dhende gave a presentation at the Smart Cities India Expo. The top officials from PMC were also present for the award ceremony which was organized at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
An audio-visual documentary covering all the aspects of winning projects was shown at the ceremony. The summit took place from May 23 to 25. It had conference, expo and awards as the major components. Five expos related to Buildings India 2018, Solar India, Transport India, Smart Cities India and Water India were at display.
