Kal Yafai vs David Carmona
Former Team GB Olympian Kal Yafai makes his US debut, defending his WBA super-flyweight title against battle-hardened veteran David Carmona, in California on Saturday night.
The Birmingham man is hoping to make an impact on the grandest of stages, adding his name to the mix in a red-hot 115lb division with a statement at the Save Mart Arena, Fresno.
"I can't wait to make my US debut, it's something I've always wanted to do since I laced them up," the 28-year-old told the BBC.
"I want to go out there and impress, show the US fans and TV what I can really do.
"I've looked at Carmona and his toughness stands out, he's gone 12 rounds with Naoya Inoue, and went close with Carlos Cuadras.
"He does everything well but I think that my skillset, my speed, my sharpness will be too much for him.
In Carmona, Yafai faces an opponent who has lost three of his last five and, while he should present enough problems to keep the 23-0 Yafai on his toes, the Mexican is a readymade look-good assignment.

Jerwin Ancajas vs Jonas Sultan
Topping the bill after Kal Yafai’s WBA title defence, divisional rival Jerwin Ancajas takes on 14-3 Jonas Sultan – riding a five-fight win streak – at the Save Mart Arena, Fresno, California.
It will be the fifth defence of Ancajas’ IBF version of the super-flyweight world title and one that he is expected to emerge from unscathed.
The 26-year-old is a phenomenal talent – as he demonstrated in the UK with a brutal beatdown or Belfast man Jamie Conlan on enemy territory in November last year – and has been tipped to carry the torch for Filipino boxing after Manny Pacquiao hangs up the gloves.
Victory would put Ancajas, nicknamed Pretty Boy, on a likely collision course with Yafai, setting up a unification clash for later this year.
Speaking about the possibility to the BBC this week, Yafai said: “It'll be good to watch him in the flesh after I do a job.
"I have to look good on this showcase, but I know that the Ancajas fight is something that can happen down the line in the States or in England."

David Lemieux vs Karim Achour
Canadian power-puncher David Lemieux had been hoping to bounce back with a bang against Karim Achour after being hopelessly outclassed by Britain’s own Billy Joe Saunders in December but his plans hit the rocks earlier today when he missed weight by two pounds.
The 29-year-old, who was comprehensively beaten during a dazzling display by Saunders in Montreal last year, was given an extension to make the weight limit but declined; Achour scaled in at 159lbs.
Thankfully, the bout will go ahead as scheduled – but Lemieux’s manager suggested it would be the last time fans would see the former IBF middleweight champion at 160lb, previewing a step up to super-middleweight next time around.
"[Trainer] Marc [Ramsay] wanted to see David against a guy who will advance on him for 12 rounds," manager and promoter Camille Estephan said.
"David does not think it's going to last that long but Achour has never been on the floor in his career."
