NYCA to hold silver jubilee from June 1

Successfully completing its 24 years in the field of social services, the socio-cultural organisation Niladrivihar Youth and Cultural Association (NYCA) here is all set to celebrate its 25th annual cultural show and its silver jubilee on June 1 and 2.

The itinerary of the programme was declared in a special function held under the chairmanship of NYCA president Dr Prakash Chandra Panigrahi recently.

Panigrahi said that during the celebrations, cultural shows would e held on both days along with open-stage shows “Phaguna re ranga kheliba Mana” and “Pabitra Sampark”.

Social activist Chandra Sekhar Pati, educationists Basanta Kumar Tripathy and Sarat Kumar Jena, scribe Nagendra Kumar Dhal and noted Jatra director Chhabi Barik attended as guests in the preparatory meeting.

NYCA general secretary Biswajit Pattnaik spoke about the yearlong activities of the association like five days of cultural shows, blood donation and other health-related camps, plantation drive, mini marathon and others.

Among others, NYCA cultural secretary Bata Krushna Panda and treasurer Prakash Chandra Sahoo were present.
