Metro Creative Connection

Construction operations for drainage, slope grading and shoulder improvements will begin on state Route 608 (Concord-Hambden Road) in Concord Township near Big Creek on May 29 with minimal impacts to traffic, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Meanwhile, on June 4, Concord-Hambden Road will close to northbound traffic between Radcliffe and Winchell roads for 100 days as major repair work takes place.

During the closure, southbound Concord-Hambden Road will remain open.

Northbound motorists will be detoured via U. S. Route 6 (GAR Highway), State Route 44, Capital Parkway, Crile Road, Auburn Road and Concord-Hambden Road.

The drainage, slope grading and shoulder improvement work is expected to be complete in October. The project was awarded to A.P. O’Horo Company for $439,000.
