The Flash's Season 4 cliffhanger left us all in a lurch, when the Mystery Girl who's been popping up all year crashed the gang's baby shower to reveal that she's actually Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris' (Candice Patton) daughter from the future.
Obviously this twist is going to make for some crazy shenanigans in Season 5, since no one knows quite what to expect from this new member of the family. Luckily, we do have some clues about what's to come when The Flash returns in the fall, which we've compiled here for your convenience!
Check out everything we know so far about The Flash Season 5...
It will stay on Tuesdays. The CW announced its fall schedule in mid-May, and The Flash isn't moving from Tuesdays at 8 p.m., where it serves as the evening's anchor. It will once again be paired with Black Lightning, which joined The Flash in early 2018.
Barry and Iris will become parents. They may not be having a baby in the traditional sense, but they'll be getting a kid nonetheless thanks to Nora Allen traveling back in time to visit her parents in 2018. Parenthood will put some stress on their relationship according to showrunner Todd Helbing, so expect some squabbles about how best to raise their adult daughter.
Nora Allen is about to shake things up. Not only has Barry and Iris' daughter traveled back from 30 years in the future to meet her parents, she's made a "huge mistake" that will be the focus of Season 5 when we pick back up with the show. We'll learn why she traveled back in time at very specific moments in Season 4, but there's no telling if she did major damage with those short visits. She certainly changed the timeline in a big way when she helped Barry take down that crashing satellite in the finale.

Prepare for some dad speeches from Joe (Jesse L. Martin). Joe and Cecille (Danielle Nicolet) will also take another shot at the whole parenting thing given they now have a newborn daughter, but it will actually be Joe's history with Wally that inspires his dad speeches to Barry and Iris. Learning to parent a kid who's already grown up is a special skill, and Joe's got experience in that field already.
We're getting a new non-speedster villain. DeVoe (Neil Sandilands) was the series' first major villain who wasn't a speedster, and The Flash is doubling down on that kind of storytelling next year. As it turns out, Helbing told Entertainment Weekly that they actually shot a teaser for this villain for the Season 4 finale that had to be cut for time, so be on the lookout for that clip soon.
Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) will investigate Killer Frost's origins. In Season 4, Caitlin found out Killer Frost has been a part of her since long before the particle accelerator explosion, which will be a huge storyline for her in Season 5. "It completely changes her thinking about her powers and obviously where they came from," Helbing told TV Guide. "It's the main mystery for her next season, and it's going to lead her down a path that she certainly did not expect to walk down."

Todd Helbing confirmed to TV Guide that Cavanagh would be tackling an all new Harrison Wells in Season 5. The only details we have on this new character are that he's "funny and unique" and he'll be a pretty meaty character for Cavanagh to sink his teeth into.
Don't expect the Tornado Twins to make an appearance. In the original comics, Barry and Iris were parents to speedster twins named Dawn and Don (cute right?), who were also known as the Tornado Twins. Helbing told TV Guide that while they're not ruling out the possibility of including that storyline, right now they've got no plans to incorporate a twin brother into Nora Allen's story.
The Flash will return Tuesdays this fall on The CW.
