Minor girl rescued in S’garh, probe on

The police here rescued a ten- year-old minor girl  on Wednesday evening, who reportedly had fled from her employer's house following alleged torture on her. Police sent the girl to a local shelter home and were investigating in  the case.

Sources said locals had spotted the girl at Mission square in Sundargarh town. They suspected some foul play as the girl was weeping there and informed the police.

During inquiry, the police came to know that the girl belongs to a poor family of Kutra block and was engaged as a domestic help in one house of Sundargarh town area.

The girl reportedly was in a state of shock and could not reveal the details about her house owner, due to which police have kept in a shelter house. It  is  also  being  suspected  that  the minor  girl was  being  tortured  by  her  employer.
