Girls outshine boys in Class X exam in Haryana

Girls on Monday have once again outshone the boys in the secondary (class 10) examinations conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani, in March 2018, The overall passing percentage of secondary examination is 51.15 and 66.72 per cent in open school (private candidates).

Kartik of Nav Durga Senior Secondary School, Jind has secured the first position by scoring 498 marks. Three students; Selina Yadav of Jeevan Jyoti Senior Secondary School,Rewari, Sonali of Saraswati High School, Sirsa and Hari Om of Bal Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School, Palwal have secured second place by scoring 495 marks each and Riya of SMB Geeta Senior Secondary School, Ambala, Preeti of Paras Senior Secondary School, Mahendragarh and Jigyasa of Tagore School, Panipat have secured third position by scoring 494 marks each.

The Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign of the state government has become a public movement.

This was stated by Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma while announcing the results of Board in Bhiwani . On the occasion, Board Chairman Dr Jagbir Singh was also present.

Sharma said that the state government is committed to improve the level and quality of education and create such an educational environment for students to achieve best place in all kinds of competitions.

The results of secondary and senior secondary examinations have been prepared in completely transparent manner. He said that the results have come to him only by the way the students have performed. He congratulated the meritorious students and their parents for good results.

The Minister appreciated the initiative of digital locker taken by Education Board in line with the Digital India vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. First time, such decision of preserving results and certificates in digital locker has been taken which is appreciable. The candidates can download their results and certificates from the website of Board whenever they required. The Board would also upload certificates and results on digital locker of all candidates from 2004 till date.
