Criminal wanted for double murder held in Jhajjar

CHANDIGARH: Haryana police under a special drive, Operation Clean, has succeeded in arresting a wanted criminal allegedly involved in a double murder case from Dulhera village in Jhajjar district. He was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head.
A spokesperson of the police department said the accused, along with his accomplices, was involved in the murder of two persons of Goyala Kalan village in connection with rivalry over the issue of parking of car in a street. The accused had been absconding after committing the crime. He said during patrolling a team of police noticed that a young man on seeing it tried to flee under suspicious circumstances. Acting swiftly, the team managed to nab him and recognized him as Abhimanyu, alias Monu, a native of Goyala Kalan in Jhajjar.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to having committed crime on June 25, 2017, and added that he, along with his accomplices, was involved in the murder of Sanjay and Wazir over car parking. Three other criminal cases were also registered against him in Jhajjar district. A country-made pistol was also seized from him. The accused was produced before the court, which sent him to judicial custody.
