42 motorcycles recovered, three held in Rajahmundry

One of them is a habitual offender, says SP

The Urban district police on Thursday have seized 42 motorcycles worth ₹25 lakh from three accused who hailed from West Godavari district. Addressing media conference here, urban SP B. Rajakumari has informed that Kuppala Rangarao, habitual offender of Satyawada village in Vundrajavaram mandal of West Godavari, has stolen more than 100 motorcycles from Ravulapalem, Palakollu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem, Nuziveedu and Rajamahendravaram towns and was landed in Tanuku, Nuzvid sub-jails and Rajamahendravaram Central jail in the past. He was released from Nuzvid sub-jail last year and started stealing bikes again from March this year.

Rangarao has stolen 30 bikes, out of which 17 from Rajamahendravaram from March with the help of Veeramallu Nageswara Rao of Kanuru village in Peravali mandal of West Godavari. The third offender Korada Venkateswarlu of Vadapalli village in Kovvuru mandal in West Godavari was a mason and developed bad habits. Finally, he started stealing bikes in RTC bus complexes, hospitals and other places in Rajamahendravaram, Ravulapalem and Manadepta. He has stolen 12 bikes which were seized by crime DSP A. Trinatha Rao, CCS Inspector Muralikrishna Reddy and others.
