Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are all set to clash in the must-win encounter of the IPL Qualifier 2. A win will take the team into Sunday’s final at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). SRH, thanks to being at the top two, they have another chance to play and qualify for the finals. They lost to CSK in the Qualifier 1 at Wankhede.
Defending just 140, SRH bowler did their best, but Faf du Plessis’ attack helped CSK to emerge as winners. SRH were amazing in their first 11 games, however, they lost their last four games and have been winless since May 10 where they beat Delhi Daredevils. SRH have been one of the best teams this season and skipper Kane Williamson has led the side from the front. Here, we see the probable dream XI for the Sunrisers:
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Shikhar Dhawan, Shreevats Goswami, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Carlos Brathwaite, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma
KKR, on the other hand, is doing well with the bowling attack. The home team strangled Rajasthan Royals to keep their finals hope alive. Spinner Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav tied down the Royals and pulled a win for the side. Young Prasidh Krishna too shined with a critical over at the end. KKR’s path to the knockouts has been a zig-zag affair, which needed four successive wins to stay in the competition. KKR have beaten SRH in the recent game played on May 19 but that was a league match and this is a second Qualifier where anything can happen as both the teams will look to qualify for the finals. While KKR looks to make their 3rd IPL final, SRH are aiming to play their 2nd IPL final in 3 years. Here is the probable dream XI for the Knight Riders:
Kolkata Knight Riders: Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Javon Searles, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna
