Earl Ward, 75, of Darlington, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 1, 1942, in Butler, Tenn., he was the son of the late Elmer and Blanche (Gregg) Ward. Earl served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in May of 1964. He was a laborer for many years at J&L Steel, and retired from the Beaver County Housing Authority. He was also a retired Captain of the Patterson Township Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the New Galilee V.F.W. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph Ward; his brother, Ray Ward; his best friend, John Kosloski, and his former wife, Catherine Ward. Earl is survived by his loving wife of almost 14 years, Patricia (McCoy) Ward; four children, Pam (Lysle) Tate, Earl Ward Jr., Cyndie (Roger) Griffith and Eric (Carrie) Schrewsbury; stepsons, George, John and David (Annie) Hill; stepdaughter, Tina (Erik) Evans; brothers, Jack, Bill, Harold, Dale and his twin, Burl Ward; grandchildren, Katie, Kara, Emmalie, Kayla, Joseph, Cameron, Grant and Bella, Chasity, Ashley, Eva, Daniel, Collin, Eamon, Helen, Evan, Jared, Chelsie, Sabrina and Jeramie, 18 great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where the Beaver County Honor Guard will present full military honors. Interment will be private.
