Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Md Mahmood Ali, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav and former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy were among others who visited the residence of Dattatreya, BJP sources said.
BJP president Amit Shah spoke to Dattatreya over the phone and expressed his condolences, they said.
Dattatreya's son Vaishnav (21), a third year MBBS student, died of sudden cardiac arrest on the night of May 22.
