Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) did not receive any objection on the model answer keys of common entrance test (CET) conducted for admissions in 48 courses offered by a dozen university teaching departments.
“Not one student filed objection on the model answer keys,” said CET organising committee chairman Anil Kumar. The model answer keys were uploaded on DAVV’s website soon after CET-2018 was over on May 22 and objections on them were invited.
The university had stated that the students will be charged Rs 500 for objection per answer key. It also stated that the amount will be refunded if the objection was found true. The university had given merely two days (till 5 pm on May 24) for filing objections.
However, many students cried foul stating that the time granted for filing objection was less. They said they should have been given a week. “Last year, mistakes had occurred in answer keys. This time, we ensured that moderation of question papers and answer keys were properly done. That is why no objection was received. Also, no complaint of mistakes in question paper surfaced,” he said. He also said that university had got all the CET papers set from outside the state.
According to DAVV, since no objection has been received on model answer keys, it would be considered a final answer sheet. Based on it, answer books will be evaluated. “We will declare results of CET by May 31,” Kumar said. He said first counselling of CET is likely to start in June first week.
