It's Memorial Day weekend, and among other things that means it's pool time. Public pools across the Valley are kicking off the unofficial start to summer by opening their doors.
Here is all the info you need to plan your weekend accordingly:
- Gypsy Hill Park Pool
Opens on Saturday. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. These hours are May 26-August 5.
Admission:
-2 years and younger: Free
-3 years and older: $3
-Pool Pass: 20 Visits $50
-Pool Party Rental: $150, 3-hour minimum plus $50 per lifeguard
15 people or less requires one lifeguard; 15 or more requires two lifeguards
- Montgomery Hall Park Pool
According to Staunton Parks and Recreation they are still in the process of hiring life guards and are unsure whether the pool will be open on Saturday. Once the pool is open the hours will be the same as Gypsy Hill Park pool.

-2 years and younger: Free
-3 years and older: $2
-Pool Pass: 20 Visits $35
-Pool Party Rentals: $150, 3-hour minimum + $50/guard, 15 or less: 1 guard, 15 or more: 2 guards
- Stuarts Draft Park Pool
This pool does not open Memorial Day weekend. Instead, it will open on June 4. Dates of operation are June 4-August 19, August 25-26, and the final weekend will be Saturday September 1 through Monday September 3. June and July hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. August house are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekends, and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays.

- Ridgeview Park Pool, War Memorial Pool
Opening Saturday and operating until mid-August. Hours are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

-Youth 3 to 15 $2
-Toddlers 2 and under free
-Individual pass $60
-Family pass $130
