DCs, CMOs asked to achieve cent per cent immunisation of children under MR campaign

Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) R R Jowel on Tuesday directed all Deputy Commissioners and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of districts to achieve cent per cent immunisation of children under the measles and rubella campaign.

Jowel also directed health officers and officials to make pucca arrangements for the prevention and control of the spread of dengue, diarrhoea, malaria and other diseases in view of the upcoming rainy season. The ACS was presiding over a review meeting of the measles and rubella campaign with DCs and CMOs through video-conferencing in Fatehabad. Under the measles and rubella campaign, special camps would be held for immunisation of students in playway schools, government and private schools as well as madarsas from nursery to class X. Later, children of all anganwadi centres would be vaccinated and those in high risk areas, including slum areas and brick kilns, would be vaccinated through a mobile team of the department.
