J'khand CM asks industrial units to avoid river pollution

Describing rivers as "places of worship", Chief Minister has asked factories and industrial units to take measures to prevent water pollution.

Addressing a public meeting yesterday on bank, Das said industries are needed for economic development of but rivers are the lifeline of the state.

He lauded his cabinet colleague for helming the Damodar Bachao Andolan (movement) over the past 12 years and said the initiative would go a long way in protecting rivers.
