TiE wants Kharge back as Technology Minister The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global nonprofit engaged in promoting entrepreneurship, has urged Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy to entrust the Technology & Innovation portfolio to former Minister Priyank Kharge in the JD(S)-Congress coalition regime.

Karnataka as well as the industry will benefit greatly if Kharge is offered an opportunity to continue leading the IT/BT agenda for the State. "We humbly request your consideration of our sincere request," TiE Bengaluru president Ravi Gururaj ad past president Naganand Doraswamy said in a letter to the Chief Minister.

Kharge, as IT Minister, took several initiatives such as promoting startups through Elevate 100, establishing centres of excellence in areas such as AI, data analytics and organising Benglauru Tech Summit. As minister, he was always receptive to the nedds of IT services companies and multinational who functioned in the State.
TiE Bengaluru, the letter said, has 750 plus members including entrepreneurs, corporate executives, startup founds and professional and has collaborated with the State Government for the past two decades.
