Bandaru Dattatreya’s son dies of cardiac arrest

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya’s family has suffered a major shock with his only son, 21-year-old Vaishnav, passing away due to cardiac arrest in the wee hours of Wednesday. He was third year student of MBBS.

According to the family sources, Vaishnav complained of chest pain while having dinner at home in Ramngara area last night and was rushed to nearby Guru Nanak Care Hospital where he died after midnight.

Dattatreya and his family was left in deep shock by the tragedy. As the news spread friends and supporters of Dattatreya started gathering at his residence. Those who visited him include the State Governor ESN Narasimhan, several State Ministers, MPs and leaders of various political parties.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu spoke to him over phone and conveyed their condolences. Telangana Chief Minister K Chndrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also expressed their shock over the death of Vaishnav.

“He was the only son and one can understand the grief of a father over such a loss”, Chandrababu Naidu said in his condolence message.

Vaishnav was cremated at Madannapet Shamshanghat in the afternoon. Dattatrey represents Secunderabad constituency in Lok Sabha and was a Minister of State in Narendra Modi Cabinet till last year.
