Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has asserted that his government is committed to fight corruption.
Talking to reporters in Guwahati on the completion of 2 years of his government, Mr Sonowal said, corruption must be rooted out from all offices starting from Chief Minister's Office to panchayat level.
He said, the updation process of the National Register of Citizens is being carried out and has sought support from all sections of people. The Chief Minister said, the work of sealing the Indo-Bangladesh border is going on as his government is committed to make the state free from illegal migrants.
He said, the work is expected to be completed by December this year. Mr Sonowal said, 250 skill development centres have been set up in the state.
He said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several new projects were given to Assam, including 6 new bridges over the Brahmaputra.
