Belly Fat has always been linked to unhealthy eating habits, poor sleeping regime, lack of physical exercise and stress amongst many other factors. However, as per a study conducted in VU University Medical Center and Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands, as per which, people who have high levels of belly fat are deficient in Vitamin D.

Thereby if despite exercising, following clean eating and sticking to a healthy diet, you are not losing belly fat, then you must get your vitamin D levels checked.

The easiest way to increase your levels of vitamin D is to bask in the sunshine. Sunrays activate the generation of vitamin D in our body naturally. Therefore, you must aim at spending some time in the sun to get the process going.

Other good resources of vitamin D are fortified milk, cheese, eggs, fatty fish like tuna, mackerel, salmon, and mushrooms, which you must include in your daily diet plan.

Lastly, if after getting yourself tested for Vitamin D, the findings suggest a deficiency of this nutrient, then you must consult your doctor and ask for Vitamin D supplementation to fill in the nutritional gap.
