Work on Nagpur-Mumbai Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway likely to begin in two weeks |
In Maharashtra, work on ambitious 700 km Nagpur-Mumbai Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway is expected to begin in two weeks. Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation MSRDC, Radheshyam Mopalwar said that a milestone has been achieved with the opening of financial bids.
The nodal agency which has received 18 financial bids from the qualified contractors, is expecting beginning of the construction work for this Expressway within next two weeks.
The Expressway project costing 46 thousand crore rupees will connect 10 districts, 26 talukas and 392 villages in the state. It will reduce current travel time of 18 hours to 8 hour between the two cities.
The State Government has already acquired more than 80 per cent Private and Government land for this Expressway.
