Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, who is struggling with his form and is in desperate need of a hit, is all set to reunite with Nagarjuna for the third time, according to some industry sources. Following the back-to-back failures of Ism, Rogue, Paisa Vasool and his latest release Mehbooba, Puri has pitched a story to Nagarjuna which the latter liked and has expressed an interest to star in it along with his son Naga Chaitanya.

However, the project may not take off immediately as both Nagarjuna and Chaitanya are busy with multiple commitments. It’s worth mentioning that Puri and Nagarjuna have worked in two film in the past -- Sivamani and Super.

“Puri pitched a story to Nagarjuna even before the release of Mehbooba. Nag was quite moved by what he heard, but he told him he can’t take up immediately as he is all set to commence work on his next film Bangararaju soon. Puri, meanwhile, will work on another film with his son and join hands with Nag and Chai towards the end of this year or next year,” a source close to Jagannadh told Hindustan Times.

It is learnt from multiple sources that Puri plans to make a martial arts based film next with his son Puri Akash, who was recently seen playing the lead in Mehbooba. Apparently, Puri’s assistants are currently scouting locations for the new project which is most likely to go on the floors from July or August.
