BROOKFIELD — The Women’s Club of Brookfield recently presented resident Linda Frame with the Woman of the Year award.
Frame, a longtime resident in Brookfield, has been involved in many community organizations and has four children.
“Linda is most deserving,” Mary Schiffenhaus, president of the club, said in a release. “The work she does in our town and beyond is astonishing.”
Frame has served as president of the Parent, Teachers and Student Organization, created the SAT prep course with the Brookfield Learning Center, and volunteered for many hours for the “moving up ceremony” and academic breakfasts at Whisconier Middle School. She has also volunteered for many events at St. Marguerite’s Church in town.
Frame has also been involved with Girl Scouts, the Brookfield Garden Club, the high school’s annual graduation party and the “Mothers of Pre-School Children” in Ridgefield. She has also volunteered at elections for the registrar’s office.
“Nominating Linda was my greatest pleasure,” Melissa Marici, publicity chair for the club, said in a release. “Not only does she have a heart of gold, she shares her heart with everyone. It’s an off day when Linda doesn’t have three important projects going in. From the town's schools to the churches and town hall, she's always dashing in and out to do her share and then some. She's been an excellent mentor for me in every way.”
