Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, who will soon be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, has unveiled the latest song from the film, Tafreeh.

Amit Trivedi has not only composed the music of the song but also lent his voice to the number touted as an anthem to friendship. Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the song. The song talks about stealing moments of joy from the usual monotony of daily life. With lyrics like “jaha saste mein milti ho khushi ka wo thikana hai kaha, teri hi naak ke neeche khushi maujood hai pagle yahan,” the song is likely to strike a chord. The music, however, is not outstanding and that may leave the song out of the chartbuster lists.

Talking about the film, Motwane told Reuters, “At one level there is the idealism in the film, and the other part is, how do you tell this to an audience? And being a huge fan of graphic novels and superhero films, the two worlds merged. When I wrote the original film in 2010, the whole story about corruption was at its peak – the Congress government was there, and people were really angry about it. The Jan Lokpal movement happened, the anti-corruption movement happened. I wrote the film about corruption in Mumbai, about land grabbing. Then sadly, the film didn’t happen. First with Imran (Khan), and then Siddharth (Malhotra). By the time Harshvardhan came on board, the government had changed and the narrative was about “acche din” (good days).”

Bhavesh Joshi is jointly produced by Eros International, Reliance Entertainment, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Anurag Kashyap. It is slated to hit theatres on June 1, which is also the release date for Harshvardhan’s sister Sonam Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding.
