Peugeot 108 Gets New Colors And Trims, Starts From £9,225 In UK

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that Peugeot has a car smaller than the 208 supermini. But it has been here since 2014, and it’s basically the same car as the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo.

The French brand’s replacement to the older 107 was presented four years ago at the Geneva Motor Show. And with a few exceptions, we haven’t heard that much about it since.

However, Peugeot has just revised the range, and presented it for the UK market. Priced from £9,225 ($12,394) locally, it comes with a few updates, including two new colors called Green Fizz and Calvi Blue. These are available on the Allure and Collection grades.

Moreover, the 2018 Peugeot 108’s visual stance can be enhanced with the addition of a Raven Black roof and glossy black side mirror casings. These give it “a sporty personality”, according to the automaker, and are joined by the Green Fizz retractable electric fabric roof.

Opening the door reveals an improved infotainment system with a 7-inch display. It’s available at no extra cost starting with the Active trim level and gets DAB digital radio, AUX input, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Screen.

Elsewhere, the Peugeot 108 features Active City Brake and Lane Departure Warning System, as optional extras, and a traffic sign recognition system. The technology is said to be available for the Allure and Collection, and costs £480 ($645), tax included.

Last, but not least, the 1.0-liter engine has been improved, and it now meets the Euro 6.2 emission standards. The unit continues to be offered with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic gearbox and makes 72PS (71hp / 53kW).
