LUDHIANA: Police have arrested a Nigerian citizen after it recovered four hundred grams heroin hidden in a speaker in
Khanna city. The accused has been identified as 35-year-old Chdieber who lives in Dwarka area of Delhi.
Police officials said Chdiebert was travelling in a car and was carrying a speaker in a bag. When the police stopped his car at Samrala check post, he started running towards the Samrala side but was caught.
DySP (Investigation) Ranjeet Singh said that police team opened the speaker and recovered two packets hidden in it. He added that the packets contained four hundred grams of heroin.
The police later arrested the accused and booked him under sections of NDPS act. It was found that the accused had come to Machiwara to handover the consignment to someone.
Singh said that the accused had come to India in November last year. He added that more disclosures are expected from the Nigerian national.
