England were bowled out for a meek total of 184 after batting first on the opening day of the Lord’s Test against Pakistan on Thursday. Pakistan bowlers Hasan Ali and Mohammad Abbas both grabbed four wickets each while veteran England opener Alastair Cook scored 70. Earlier in the day, England skipper Joe Root won the toss and opted to bat first. However, Pakistan pacers made the most of the conditions and caused serious trouble in the hosts’ batting top-order. Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan come into the match having won their one-off Test against Ireland last week while most of the England cricketers have been preparing themselves for the Test and the busy summer on the county circuit.
