Apple offering Rs 3,900 cashback for iPhone battery replacement to some users in India

Apple continues to grapple with the fiasco surrounding degraded batteries and consequent performance throttling on affected iPhones, but today, they are offering relief to some iPhone users who have paid full price for battery replacement

Apple is offering Rs 3,900 credit back to those customers who had paid full price for an out-of-warranty battery replacement on their iPhone 6 or newer. Apple specified that the repair period should fall between January 1, 2017, and December 28, 2017, and the repair should have been undertaken at an official Apple Store, Apple repair centre or an Apple authorized service provider. The post says that the credit will be offered back to eligible customers either via an electronic funds transfer or through a credit on the credit card used to pay for the service. In order to get the refund, Apple themselves will be sending a notification e-mail to eligible customers with instructions on how to avail the credit. The emails will be sent out between May 23, 2018, and July 27, 2018, however, if you do not get an e-mail from Apple by August 1, 2018, and believe that you are eligible, you will need to contact Apple by December 31, 2018, along with proof of repair.
